Meanwhile, the Supreme Court today heard arguments on whether Kejriwal should be granted interim bail in view of the upcoming general elections. During the hearing, Senior Advocate A.M. Singhvi, who represents Kejriwal, stated that his client is ready to undertake not to "Sign any official file" If released on temporary bail, in order to allay concerns about potential abuse of power during the campaign. This proposal was made in response to the court’s concern that allowing Kejriwal to perform his official duties while on bail could have cascading effects.

Despite Singhbi’s assurances, ED opposed the interim bail, arguing that politicians should not be treated differently from ordinary citizens and that the law must apply equally to all. The Supreme Court reserved its judgment.
