Karachi: Launch of the Department of Transport’s Automatic Fare Collection Smart Card System.
PeopleBus customers will now be able to pay their fare by automated ticket collection smart card instead of cash.
According to the spokesperson for the transport department, the smart card can be used in the People’s Bus service at the moment. Soon, the automated fare collection smart card system will be extended to other public transport as well.
Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that the Transport Department has started an automated fare collection system, where passengers will be able to pay fares through smart cards.
