While sentencing Ravi Kapoor, Amit Shukla, Baljit Singh Malik and Ajay Kumar to double life imprisonment, the court also imposed a fine of Rs 1.25 lakh on each convict.
The accused received bail from the High Court
In February this year, the Delhi High Court suspended the sentence of the four convicts. At the same time, the four convicts were given bail until the disposal of their appeals challenging their punishment. The Delhi High Court said the four convicts have been in custody for 14 years.
