JJMP Naxalite from Andhra Pradesh arrested
Garhwa Police has arrested a Naxalite JJMP from Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh. His name is Rahul Kesari. He lives in Marda village, Bhandaria police station area. On his information, the police have recovered an INSAS rifle hidden in Jasobar forest of Ranka police station area. It was raided by the police. Apart from this, 41 bullets, one pouch and four magazines have been recovered.

SP Deepak Kumar Pandey said that Naxalite Rahul Keshari is a member of JJMP district commander Tunesh Oraon’s squad. Tunesh Oraon and his squad had an encounter with the police at Dhegura under Ranka police station on 17 December 2023. In which the then station in-charge of Ranka, Shankar Prasad Kushwaha, was shot. After the meeting, the police took immediate action and arrested Shivpujan Bhuihar of this faction with an AK-47 and a large quantity of ammunition. After this, Tunesh Oraon was also arrested from Chhattisgarh. Only Rahul Keshari was left who was working as a laborer in Bhimavaram, Andhra Pradesh since the incident.

Naxalite Rahul was arrested by the team led by Ranka SDPO Rohit Ranjan Singh. After he was arrested, information about the hidden weapon was found in his confessional statement. A team of CRPF 172 battalion and Garhwa police was formed and the weapon was recovered from the forest. SDPO said that Tunesh Oraon used to collect levy by threatening the contractors. Now the entire squad is in police custody. Two cases have already been registered against the arrested Rahul Keshari in Ranka and Bhandaria police stations.

SP Deepak Kumar Pandey said that militant JJMP district commander Tunesh Oraon along with Shivpujan Bhuihar, Manoj Ram, Rahul Keshari and Ram Lakra have been arrested so far. So far, two AK-57 rifles, two INSAS rifles, four indigenous rifles of 315, 60 bullets of INSAS rifle, 160 bullets of AK-47, four magazines of INSAS rifle, four magazines of AK-47, rifle LMG recovered A magazine, four mobile phones etc. have been recovered.
CRPF-172 battalion chief Nripendra Kumar, Ranka SDPO Rohit Ranjan Singh etc were present in the press conference. The raiding team included Ranka SDPO Rohit Ranjan Singh, in-charge of Ramkanda police station Surendra Singh Kuntia, Ranka police station Prabhat Kumar, Anil Yadav, Naresh Manjhi, Shyam Bihari Ram and CRPF officers and personnel.
