ADJ Neha Noharia’s court in Jind, Haryana has sentenced Amit, a resident of Ramkali village, who was found guilty in a murder case, to life imprisonment. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 30 thousand on him. He was hit by the ax of Manish, a resident of Shamlo Kalan village in Julana district.

According to the information, on 29 November 2019, the Julana police station received information that Manish, a resident of Shamlo Kalan, died during treatment at the hospital due to injuries sustained in a fight. On this information, the police reached the spot and recorded the statement of Pawan Kumar, a resident of Shamlo Kalan Jind. In his statement, Ankit said that his younger brother Manish, 24, had gone to Azad fields in Ramkali village for some work on the afternoon of 28 November.
He said that Amit alias Didu, son of Azad, was also present there. There was a dispute among themselves about some matter. After that, when his brother Manish sat down to urinate under a mango tree some distance away, Amit came from behind and hit him on the head with an axe. This was the cause of his death.
The police arrested the accused Amit and recovered the ax used in the murder. After hearing the case on Wednesday, ADJ Neha Noharia’s court found Amit guilty and sentenced him to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 30,000.
