As per the instructions of the Deputy Commissioner Bokaro, under the guidance of the Assistant Foreign Commissioner Bokaro and under the supervision of the Inspector of Customs, in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, raids were conducted on illegal liquor manufacturing sites operating on the banks of the Damodar river in Chalkari village under Petarwar police station.

During the raid, a case was registered against the suspect who was charged under relevant sections of the Excise Act. Produce Inspector Sanjeet Dev, Sub-Inspector Sadar Krishna Prajapati, Sub-Inspector Deepika Kumari Tenughat and the armed forces were present in the raiding team.
It is worth noting that even before this, a large amount of liquor was recovered by raiding many places in the Bokaro area. Also, spirits factories were established in many places. This has made it clear, in the former Prohibition Minister’s home area, that the liquor mafia has full freedom to do illegal liquor business.
