Pakistani Sydney (Newsdesk) guard Mohammad Taha, who risked his life to save people at the Westfield Bondi Junction shopping center in Sydney last week, is being considered for Australian citizenship.

The Prime Minister of Australia, Anthony Albanese, has also praised Muhammad Taha for showing extraordinary courage. In this tragedy, Muhammad Taha was seriously injured while his colleague Faraz Tahir lost his life.

Asked in a radio interview whether the Australian government would consider Muhammad Taha’s application for citizenship, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said: “We will.” He said that facing the dagger-wielding assailant was indeed an outstanding act of bravery. We must thank Muhammad Taha for this courage.

The Prime Minister of Australia said that it is a great thing to help someone without worrying about your own life in case of any attack. All such actions should be openly appreciated.

On the other hand, Bishop Marmari Emmanuel, who was injured, has forgiven the attacker. It should be noted that the attacker was killed by the police during the incident.

It should be remembered that Bishop Emmanuel was wounded in the head and chest. In response, worshipers rioted at the Assyrian Christian Church in Sydney’s west. Bishop Emmanuel said in a video on YouTube on Thursday that there is no need to worry.
