A senior Hamas official said that under no circumstances would his organization agree to a ceasefire agreement that did not include a complete end to the Gaza war. At the same time, he condemned Israel’s efforts for a ceasefire.

“Hamas will not, under any circumstances, agree to an agreement that does not specifically include an end to the war in Gaza,” the official said, speaking on condition of anonymity. “There is no agreement without a complete end to the war and lifting the occupation of Gaza.”
