Washington (International Desk) Tik Tok, a popular application for short videos, has challenged the US law in court. The most popular application can be banned under this law.
The issue was that the House of Representatives Congress approved the bill to ban TikTok on April 20 and then the Senate on April 24, after which US President Joe Biden signed the said bill on April 24 and then the bill is law.
According to this law, 2 options were provided to Byte Dance, Tik Tok’s parent company, where the company was informed that in order to protect Tik Tok from being banned in America, it must be sold to an American company for the next 9 months or otherwise on the application is prohibited.

Now Tik Tok has filed an application in the US court against this law.
In a petition filed by TikTok and its parent company ByteDance, the law is unconstitutional and violates the free speech rights of American citizens.
The petition further said that the US has taken an unconstitutional route to ban Tik Tok.
