Virat Kohli surpassed 600 runs this season as well as 1000 runs against Punjab in the history of Indian Premier League.
Virat Kohli broke several records during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala on Thursday.

Kohli had a few lucky breaks at the start of his innings as he was dropped twice but made sure to make the opposition pay.
Virat Kohli scored his sixth fifty, his 55th overall in the competition, this season as he surpassed 600 runs this season as well as 1000 runs against Punjab in the history of the IPL.
With that, Kohli tied with KL Rahul for most seasons with 600 or more runs in the IPL.

Arshdeep Singh dismissed Kohli as Rilee Rossouw caught smartly in the deep, after the star batsman scored 92 runs off 47 balls, hitting seven fours and six sixes.

Punjab Kings had won the prize and opted to bowl first as PBKS captain Sam Curran felt that there might be something in the wicket for the bowlers.
PBKS have included Liam Livingstone in place of Kagiso Rabada in the lone change to their playing XI. Vidhwath Kaverappa, a bowler from Karnataka, is set to make his debut for Punjab.
