A youth from the capital was duped by thugs by posing as an SBI customer service employee. The accused also hacked the victim’s mobile phone by taking personal information. After that, he transferred 2 lakh 16 thousand rupees from various credit cards to his account.

The applicant told the police that after committing the fraud he also received a video call from a suspicious mobile number. According to the information, the victim Vidyakant Mishra filed a complaint at Tikrapara police station. According to this, he wanted to close his credit card, for which he received a call from an unknown number on May 3.
The person in front of him introduced himself as SBI’s customer handler. He then asked the applicant for his credit card number and other details. After some time, the fraudster hacked the mobile and then withdrew Rs 1 lakh 4,000 from the victim’s first bank account and Rs 1 lakh 12,000 from the second bank account.
