New Delhi: Not even 4 months have passed since the start of the year 2024, but more than a dozen Indian students are stuck abroad. The news about the death of students who have gone abroad for education continues to come one after the other. The new addition is a medical student from Anakapally, Andhra Pradesh. The Indian Embassy confirmed that 21-year-old Dasari Chandu breathed his last in Kyrgyzstan.
Death by falling into a frozen waterfall
Chandu was a second year medical student studying medicine in the Central Asian country of Kyrgyzstan. He met a tragic end when he went on a trip with his friends. Chandu visited the falls along with four other students on Sunday. There were also friends from Andhra Pradesh. This time, he got stuck in a frozen waterfall and died. Later, Chandu’s dead body was removed from the spot. Chandu is the second son of Bhimaraju, a halwa seller.

Chandu’s family members have reached the concerned authorities who are seeking the body for the last rites. Chandu’s death has been brought to the notice of Union Tourism and Culture Minister G. Kishan Reddy by B. Venkata Satyavathy, MP from his hometown Anakapalli. The Minister spoke to officials at the Indian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan. Family members of the deceased student have been asked to help.
