News in the survey 19 The state borers installed by the small irrigation department in the villages of Gush Hasanpur do not irrigate the crops growing in the fields. The main reason for this is that the drainage that was built to provide water from boring to the fields has become dilapidated. Water does not reach the fields through poor drainage. Besides, the machine also broke down. The farmers are troubled by the worsening of the boring condition of the small irrigation department. They are forced to irrigate crops with private pumps. Economically weak farmers are unable to irrigate their crops with hired pumps. Because of this there is a fear of crop loss. State boring for minor irrigation in many other villages including Badgaon, Patsa, Dath, Kundal, Hasanpur, Scarpura, Polhara, Bhatwan, Malipur of Parodia Panchayat, Sapri of Daura Panchayat, Shasan, Nayanagar and many other villages of the block are closed. The main reason for the closure of these borings that have become objects of beauty is that the machine of a boring part is broken, the building of a part is dilapidated, there is no electrical connection in a part and the drainage of a part has become dilapidated. All in all, the State Borings, which have been closed for the past 15 years, are now on the brink of extinction. The Divisional Office of the Minor Irrigation Department was established 45 years ago at Rampur Trishul Chowk in Hasanpur Block. At that time, a total of 5 employees were appointed in this workshop, including the office bearer and the director. As time progressed, the number of employees on the one hand continued to grow. Due to a lack of necessary maintenance, the condition of the office building also deteriorated. Due to the mismanagement of the office, the comings and goings of the officer were stopped. Currently only one employee works in this office as a boring operator. This single worker has the responsibility of operating all the state borings installed in the entire block. ^ Funds were also allocated in time to repair the borings. Efforts are being made to fix all the borings as soon as possible and provide the benefits of crop irrigation to farmers. – Sunil Mandal, Senior Engineer, Minor Irrigation Department, Samastipur
