Detectives previously launched an investigation into the business which has now closed amid allegations of dust going missing, families being given the wrong traces, and financial misconduct.
The family firm had branches in Springburn, Glasgow, and Dumbarton, West Dunbartonshire, and its website has been taken down.
One woman, Emma Weir, previously said her father’s body did not have a proper identification tag, that his body remained in a fridge for eight days after being taken by A Milne, and that only half of her deposit of £1,400 and was given back to her mother, although it is claimed that the funeral director had not fulfilled his duty to the family.

Since then eight containers of ashes have been recovered and donated to Argyll and Bute Council.
A council spokesman said: “Following a recent investigation by Police Scotland, we have taken eight containers of ashes, which were found at A Milne Funeral Directors’ premises, back into our care at Cardross Crematorium.
“They will remain keeping us safe until they can be returned to the candidates for cremation. All the families have been contacted and a senior manager will be available to meet them when they come to Cardross.”
Detective Inspector Gerry Shovlin, formerly of Clydebank CID, said: “This is a very sensitive and emotional case and we recognize the distress and distress that families have experienced.
“Our investigation has been ongoing for several weeks now and will continue for some time, due to the level of inquiry that will need to be pursued.
“It is a complex investigation involving a number of agencies, but families can rest assured that their loved ones’ ashes are a priority and will be treated with the utmost respect.”
