New Delhi: Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) will face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 34th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at Akana Cricket Stadium. Lucknow is all set to welcome India’s World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni and the tickets for the match are sold out. Dhoni is now in the final phase of his IPL career. The former CSK captain won five IPL trophies for his franchise. He scored 5141 runs in 256 matches at an average of 39.24.
Dhoni is one of the most loved cricketers in the country and the fans have shown him extraordinary support in all the away matches of CSK. The 42-year-old retired from international cricket in 2020 and he handed over the CSK captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad before the start of IPL 2024. LSG shared pictures of cheeky hoardings to welcome former India and CSK skipper MS Dhoni in Lucknow.

Dhoni ages like a fine wine
MS Dhoni has been in excellent form in the ongoing IPL 2024. Dhoni scored 37 runs from 17 balls against Delhi Capitals in Vizag. Dhoni took Enrich Nortier and hit him for 20 runs in the last over. His incredible knock was studded with four boundaries and three maximums. In the match against the Mumbai Indians, the former CSK skipper scored 20 runs from just 4 balls. He hit Hardik Pandya for three back-to-back sixes in the last over.
Men in yellow have won their last two matches against KKR and MI and they will be looking to get two more points to strengthen their position in the IPL standings. On the other hand, LSG will try to get back to winning ways after losing two consecutive matches against DC and KKR. The KL Rahul led team is currently placed fifth and CSK is currently placed third in the IPL 2024 points table.
