A massive fire broke out at the Shanti Rice Mill located at Kakana village on NH-343 in Balarampur district on Sunday afternoon. Because of this bags of paddy and guns worth lakhs were burnt to ashes. According to reports, the fire was caused by a short circuit. Five teams of fire brigades from Ambikpur, Balarampur and Surajpur are busy dousing the fire. But the fire could not be brought under control until the evening.
