Apart from this, CM Sarma also came to Guwahati to file nomination for the candidate. After filing nomination, Madhi said the public has come to support me. The blessings of the people are with me. I am absolutely confident of victory in Guwahati.

This time Bijuli Kalita Medhi is contesting on BJP ticket from Guwahati Lok Sabha seat of Assam. Kalita Majyotinger was a teacher at a private English school. Her husband runs a grocery store called Tiken Medhi Dukhiya Store. He is also associated with BJP for a long time. Kalita was the state vice president of BJP and earlier Mahila Morha was the president of Assam BJP. This is his first Lok Sabha election. In 2019, Rani Ojha of BJP was the Member of Parliament from Guwahati seat. Madhi will face Mayra Borthkur of the Congress. The BJP leadership chose Madhi out of 42 lakh Assam workers.

14 Lok Sabha seats in Ammas

There are 14 seats in Assam. In 2019, BJP won 9 seats from here. This time, after the delimitation in Assam, the Kaliabur seat was abolished, while a new seat, Kaziranga, was created in its place.
