Officials of the Horticulture Department said that earlier the apple variety was found only in cold regions. However, now scientists have also developed such species that will produce crops even in areas with a normal or less cold climate. The department had planted 500 saplings of three species for trial. Their database is being prepared. At the same time, this trial also gives much better results.

If the trial is successful, farmers will also get plants

Assistant Director RS Sharma said that the purpose of planting apple trees is that if apple production is successful in Pachmarhi, then we will be able to provide facilities to the farmers by preparing saplings. Because apple production area will increase.

There is also an old pear orchard in the Polo Pachmarhi garden. Pears have been grown in the garden for 25 years. Pears also grow in the cold region of Himachal and Kashmir. Which can be produced even in areas with low freezing temperatures. Himachal Pradesh has brought 500 saplings of 3 species and planted them here in 2 acres.
