Guwahati: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Assam Police, in two separate operations, arrested three suspected drug peddlers and nabbed a heroin suspect.
In the first operation, the STF conducted a raid in Swadesh Nagar, Khanapara, under the jurisdiction of the Basista Station (PS). According to reliable intelligence, the team caught two people and seized 49 grams of suspected heroin in 37 vials.

Along with the drugs, the STF recovered two mobile phones and cash amounting to ₹3,020. The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Mondal, 26, and Sanjit Roy, 27, both of Khanapara Swadesh Nagar.
In a separate operation, the STF raided Haji Musfirkhana under the jurisdiction of Platanbazar PS. In this raid, the team apprehended another suspect and found 24 grams of suspected heroin contained in two soap boxes, along with other related items.

Legal actions are being taken against the suspects, and further investigations are underway.
