Mihir and Dhoni played together in the Ranji Trophy for Bihar in 1999.

In the name of inaugural cricket academies across the country, former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was duped of Rs 15 crore by his childhood friend Mihir Diwakar and his wife Soumya. A case was registered in Ranchi regarding this matter. A hearing in this case is to be held today in the Ranchi Civil Court.
