Amarjeet Singh, an HCS officer from Haryana, has decided to quit his post to become an MLA. For this he has applied for Voluntary Retirement (VRS) to Haryana Government. The government will approve their VRS application soon. Amarjeet is currently the Joint Secretary to Governor Bandaru Dattatreya at Haryana Raj Bhavan. Earlier, he had held the post of OSD during the first term of former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Even before this, many HCS officers in Haryana took VRS to the Assembly.
