Rohtak parliamentary constituency returning officer Ajay Kumar said the polling would be held on May 25 under the sixth phase of Lok Sabha general elections. The election campaign will end 48 hours before voting ie on May 23 at 6 pm.

Campaigning after the specified period of completion of an election campaign will be contrary to exemplary behaviour. Action will be taken against those who do so.

DC Ajay Kumar, on May 24, said that the election material will be distributed to the polling parties by the concerned Assistant Returning Officers and sent to the polling stations. The polling parties will hold a mock poll on May 25 at 5.30 am in the presence of polling agents in accordance with the instructions of the Electoral Commission.

After the mock polls process is completed, the control unit will be cleared. Voting will start at 7 am on 25 May and end at 6 pm. If some voters queue to vote at the polling center until 6pm, then all of them will be voted.

Liquor shops will remain closed
DC and District Election Officer Ajay Kumar said that as per the guidelines issued by the Election Commission of India, on the day of polling on May 25 and counting on June 4, liquor will not be allowed in any liquor shop, hotel, restaurant, club. and other establishments that sell / serve drinks.

All liquor shops located in the state of Haryana will remain closed for 48 hours from the start of polling and till the completion of counting on the day of counting ie June 4. The prohibition prescribed in excise laws will be on possession and the storage of liquor in unlicensed premises is strictly enforced.

Smoking prohibited within a 200 meter radius of a polling station
Civil Surgeon Dr Anil Birla said that there will be a ban on smoking within 200 meters of polling stations on the polling day of the Lok Sabha general elections on May 24. There are 4000 toxic elements present in tobacco which can cause more than 22 diseases. Tobacco is deadly. Stay away from eating it.
