The voting for all 10 Lok Sabha seats in Haryana is on Saturday, May 25. Blockade, patrolling party, reserve police etc. are being deployed by Rohtak Police regarding the elections. Rohtak SP Himanshu Garg on the grounds of Chhotu Ram Polytechnic Rohtak before leaving for election duty.

He said the distance line should be placed at least 8 feet from the polling station. No voter is allowed to enter the polling station with the election symbol of any candidate. No person should be allowed to take weapons, ammunition etc. into the polling booth.

A total of 814 polling stations have been set up in Rohtak district, which are in 414 places. Of these 94 sensitive polling stations have been secured. During the election process, more than 1800 district police personnel and about 1100 home guards will be deployed at polling stations, patrolling parties etc.

Apart from this, Central Armed Police Forces and State Armed Police personnel are also stationed at sensitive polling stations. Additional police will also be deployed at polling stations for weaker sections. Adequate police will be deployed at each police station/office to ensure that the work of the police station/office is not affected on polling day. At the time of the elections, one company of CRPF, three of the Madhya Pradesh Armed Police and one company of the IRB were stationed in Rohtak.

Formation of 74 patrol parties
To conduct the elections peacefully, 74 patrolling parties have been formed by the Rohtak Police. 17 patrolling parties have been deployed in Meham, 21 in Garhi-Sampla-Kiloi, 13 in Rohtak and 23 patrolling in Kalanaur constituency. The patrolling party will carry torches, megaphones, anti-riot material, ropes, wireless sets, weapons etc.

The patrolling party will check people and vehicles during patrolling and whether any legal/illegal weapon will be found in any person or vehicle during the checking. We will then take action against him as per law.

When patrolling, the patrolling party should ensure that the vehicles of the candidates and their supporters do not move in a group. The permission of the vehicles traveling with the applicant will also be checked. In case any law and order situation arises, the patrolling party will reach the respective polling booth within 5 to 10 minutes and deal with the situation. All control officers and officers will be on patrol and inspect the polling stations.
