It is very hot in 10 districts of Haryana. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of a heat wave at a speed of 40 kilometers per hour. In view of this, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Mewat, Palwal, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Hisar, Jind, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri will be on red alert till 26 May.

According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum daytime temperature is currently 1.7 degrees above normal, and the night temperature is 4.9 degrees above normal. Meanwhile, medical experts say that the risk of dehydration increases in this season, a case of death of a 70-year-old man due to dehydration has also come to light in Hansi, Haryana.

Amid the red warning of summer, Nautapa also starts from May 25. During Nautapa there is severe heat for 9 consecutive days. Nautapa occurs when the Sun enters Rohini Nakshatra. It comes every year and during this period the Sun God stays in a fierce form for 9 days.

The night temperature increased by 5 degrees
Along with days, nights are also getting hot in Haryana. An increase of up to 5 degrees has been recorded in the minimum temperature during seven days. With the exception of two areas, the minimum temperature in all of the other 20 areas has reached more than 28 degrees. There was some relief in Panipat and Yamunanagar, the minimum temperature of Panipat and Sonipat was recorded at 27.5 degrees.

This is the lowest among other areas. If we talk about day mercury, Sirsa had the highest temperature. A maximum temperature of 47.7 degrees was recorded here.

Schools closed in 15 areas
In view of the heat, so far holidays have been declared in 15 areas for nursery classes up to the 5th and 8th up to the 24th and 31st of May. Holidays for children from nursery to 5th class have been extended till 24th May in Karnal, Kaithal, Rewari, Sonipat and till 31st May in Panchkula and Mahendragarh.

Apart from this, holidays for nursery to class 8 classes in Hisar, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Nuh, Bhiwani, Yamunanagar, Fatehabad, Jind, Panipat have been extended till 24 May. DC Mandeep Kaur has withdrawn the holiday orders in Charkhi Dadri.

The heat increased due to lack of rain
Meteorologists say that the biggest reason for the heat is that there has been 31% less rain in the last two and a half months. More than normal rainfall has occurred in 4 districts Jind, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Karnal and Ambala have received near normal rainfall. While 17 areas received less than usual rainfall.

Normal rainfall should have been 35 mm in the state by May 20, but 24.8 mm of rain has been recorded. Haryana has received only 4.2 mm of rain so far in May, while 11.3 mm rainfall is considered normal in this month.
