Fake videos will be monitored and action will be taken immediately. This information was given by Haryana DGP Shatrujit Kapoor in a meeting arranged with senior police officers of the state.

Action will be taken against the spread of fake videos

DGP Kapoor said that in view of Lok Sabha elections on May 25, no one will be allowed to disrupt law and order. He said that some mischievous elements are making fake videos of polling stations viral on social media, as law and order will be disrupted.

To keep an eye on these activities, Haryana Police teams will monitor at various levels and strict action will be taken against those who post fake videos. DGP Kapoor has appealed to the public not to share such videos being circulated on social media with their social media accounts. If any person sees this kind of video then inform about it on Haryana Police helpline number 112 or control room helpline number 0172-2570070.

All policemen will remain in the field

To maintain peace and law and order during the polling process, an anti-fool sealing scheme has been implemented at borders and inter-state check points in the districts. The Haryana Police is checking the areas around hotels, inns and guest houses etc. across the state and keeping track of the people staying there.

Hostels of educational institutions, secondary schools and universities are also monitored During the voting process, all the police officers including Additional Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police, Commissioner of Police and the Regional Superintendent will be in the field. They will patrol their respective jurisdictions from the start to the end of voting, so that the voting process is not disrupted.

The movement of anti-social elements is monitored

He said that all senior police officers have been instructed to keep informing the Director General of Police and Additional Director General of Police Law and Order about voting related guidelines from time to time through phone messages, SMS and WhatsApp. It is prohibited in the state to move liquor, weapons, cash and other materials that can influence voting.
