GUWAHATI: A construction worker, identified as Bishnu Bakti from Sehabganj, Jharkhand, lost his life on Sunday, May 26, following an accident at a construction site near NH 27.

The incident happened yesterday around 11:00 p.m. An official from Jalockbari police station informed GPlus, "We have sent the body for post-mortem. Initially, the workers demanded full compensation for the malfunction. But these requirements were not possible because the incident did not occur during working hours. We had to have this discussion because the contractor was surrounded. However, an initial investigation shows no signs of foul play."
