Guwahati: Heroin was seized by the Special Task Force, Assam (STF) at Durgasarovar Hills Side, near Kamakhia Gate in Guwahati on Friday, May 24.

Acting on a tip, authorities seized 46 vials containing 61.5 grams of suspected heroin along with ₹680 in cash. Three mobile phones and 250 empty vials were also seized in the raid at Janabandhu Path, Durgasarobar Hills.

In addition, two persons were apprehended in connection with the raid, namely Franjit Das (36) and Hasina Begum (AKA Maina) (27). Necessary legal procedures are being taken.
