Police have arrested a man who threatened to kill the leader of a Hindu organization in Surat, Gujarat. He is also accused of conspiring to threaten the editor of the TV channel, BJP member Raja Singh and former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Police say he had planned such a conspiracy with his masters who were living in Pakistan and Nepal.
Sohail hatched a conspiracy to murder Apash Rana.
The police said that the accused who was arrested is a cleric named Sohail Abubakar Timol. Sohail is the manager of a yarn factory and gives private lessons in Islam to Muslim children. Surat Police Commissioner Anupam Singh Gehlot says Sohail conspired to assassinate Hindu National Sangh president Updesh Rana. For this, along with his masters who were present in Pakistan and Nepal, he prepared a plan to give betel nuts worth a million rupees. Apart from this, he is also accused of conspiring to buy arms from Pakistan.

During the search, the police found many objectionable materials on Sohail’s mobile phone. It also included an offer of one million rupees for the murder of Apash Rana. For this he was constantly talking about the numbers of Pakistan and Nepal. The police commissioner said Sohail used a number from Laos to threaten Afdesh Rana in March and also added people from Pakistan and Nepal to the group call.
All three people planned a big conspiracy
Photos and other details found on the phone revealed that all these people were planning a big conspiracy against a TV channel editor, BJP member Raja Singh and former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Police say that people present in Pakistan and Nepal contacted Sohail about a year and a half ago and since then till now they all conspired to carry out various incidents.
