India strongly condemned the incident and said that promoting anti-social elements is not right under any circumstances.

In a statement published by the Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was stated that “the celebration and glorification of violence should not be part of any civilized society.” Law-abiding democratic countries should not allow such activities by fundamentalists.
“Stop giving shelter to criminals and separatists”
India said the Canadian government should stop giving shelter to criminals and separatists. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a rally was held against the former Prime Minister of India at last year’s procession. Apart from this, posters threatening violence against Indian diplomats were also put up. The ministry says, ‘We are concerned about the safety of our diplomats in Canada and expect the Canadian government to ensure that our officials carry out their responsibilities without fear.’ The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked the Canadian government to stop harboring separatists.
