EE Padmakar Shriwas of Raipur Zone 4 Municipal Corporation said that the pipeline laying work will be completed in 3 to 4 days. The work on this project worth about 3 million rupees will be completed by the end of June. After the completion of the works, there will be no problem of logging water in this rainy season.

Every year, due to heavy rains, the road between Martyrs Memorial and Jai Stambah Chowk is flooded with one and a half feet of water, affecting one lakh people. The biggest problem occurs right in front of the Martyrs’ Memorial and in Jai Stambh Chowk.
The road in front of the Martyrs’ Monument fills with so much water that sometimes water even enters the car. In this mode, the vehicle stops when a bicycle or moped passes. Due to this, traffic is affected and traffic jams occur. With the completion of the drainage works, thousands of people passing by the road will get relief from this problem and there will be no traffic jam.

Two connecting pipes were installed
Due to the divider in front of the martyrs’ monument, the road remained full of water for a long time. To overcome this problem, connection points are made not in one place but in two places on the separator so that there is no blockage on one side. Due to having points in two places, water will flow quickly from one side of the road to the other side and be released through the drain there.

Increasing the width of the drains will provide relief from the water floor problem. Also, there was waterlogging in Banstal and Ganesh Ram Nagar areas after heavy rains. The work on this project worth about 3 million rupees will be completed by the end of June.

There will be no water registration even in front of the BJP office
Even a small section of the road in front of the BJP Ekatm office complex located in Rajbanda is filled with up to five feet of water. There is actually a cross in front of the martyrs monument. The water here passes through the side of the fuel pump and reaches opposite the BJP office through the drain of Rajbandha Maidan.
From here it progresses through Maudhapara. According to the corporation’s project, a cross will now also be built near the Mayora Hotel. Due to crossing at two places, the water of GE road will also flow towards Jaistambh from the drain in front of Mayura Hotel, due to which less water will flow towards BJP office and there will be no water logging there.
