Lahore (Newsdesk) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif inaugurated Pakistan’s first virtual police station for women “Meri Awaz, Maryam Nawaz”. On the instructions of Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, 100 modern 15 emergency panic buttons were also issued in Lahore.
According to the details, the Punjab Chief Minister also inaugurated the free Wi-Fi project at 50 places in Lahore. For the first time in South Asia, 19 traffic breaking challenges were initiated in Lahore through artificial intelligence.
Maryam Nawaz has said in her statement that women can contact virtual police through 15 Call, Women Safety App live chat feature, video call feature, Punjab Police App and Safe City web portal.
On the special instructions of the Chief Minister, a virtual women’s police station was established in the Punjab Safe City Authority. IT Graduate Women Police Communication Officers are posted at Virtual Women Police Station.

Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that all the problems faced including harassment of women in the virtual police station for women will be solved on priority basis. In Virtual Women’s Police Station women can share their problem with complete privacy and confidence without revealing name and address. Thanks to the Virtual Women’s Police Station, women will not have to go around the police station unnecessarily.
He said that a live video call feature has also been introduced in the Virtual Women’s Police Station. Women can also report their problems including their location through the video call feature. The Virtual Women Police Station will guide women through every step from registering an FIR to investigation and trial.
Punjab Chief Minister said that “CM Maryam Nawaz” Free Wi-Fi service has also been started in more than 50 places across Lahore. Panics installed at universities and colleges, markets, intersections and fairs can be instantly linked to Safe City by pressing 15 buttons.
Prime Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif visited and observed the Virtual Women Police Station. She also met and discussed with the Women’s Communications Officer. Maryam Nawaz directed the early completion of hostel and day care center for women officers.
