A meeting of the National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) was held today, where street vendors and market leaders from all areas/markets of the Patna Municipal Corporation were present. At this meeting, the sidewalk vendors decided together not to sell fruits, vegetables, food, clothes or other essential items on the streets for three days. Meanwhile, if the administration does not take a positive stand in their favor, then they are ready to continue this strike. A special team has been formed by Patna Footpath Employment Association, which will monitor various markets. A lot of anger among the shopkeepers of the paths against the administration and the municipal corporation. India’s street hawkers held a meeting In fact, Divisional Commissioner Kumar Ravi fixed a time for the hawkers to set up their roadside shops. Permission is granted to sell vegetables only from 5 to 9 in the morning and from 7 to 10 in the evening. The commissioner of the division made this decision regarding the traffic jam on the roads. He said that illegal commercial activity will not be allowed on the roads under any circumstances. The National Association of Street Vendors of India (NASVI) today held a meeting in protest against this decision.
