Literary scholar Acharya Surendra Jha ‘Suman’ won the elections in 1977 on a Janata Party ticket.
I am from Darbhanga Lok Sabha constituency. In the general elections held in 1952, the famous freedom fighter Shri Narayan Das of Keoti village defeated Ramanandan Mishra. He also won the elections of 1957 and 1962. In 1967, Satyanarayan Sinha won the Congress. Vinodonand Jha, a Shiv devotee from Deoghar, a member of the Constituent Assembly and Chief Minister of Bihar from February 1961 to October 1963, won the elections in 1971. After his death, Lalit Narayan Mishra won the by-election in 1972 and became the Minister The Center Railway.
