Islamabad (Newsdesk) The issue of nomination for the chairmanship of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), which is an important parliamentary oversight body, has finally been decided, Sher Afzal Marwat has emerged as the chosen candidate -Insaaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan on Tuesday.
This decision was confirmed by PTI founding chairman Imran Khan during a press conference after a meeting at Adiala Jail. This announcement came after a period of speculation and debate within the party.

While giving public statements, Afzal Marwat said that he is the candidate chosen by former PTI chairman and media speculations are baseless. Imran Khan had removed Afzal Marwat from the team of focal people in early April, but last week PTI General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub Khan advocated for the appointment of Afzal Marwat.
