directing Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Diamond – the diamond bazaar is his first series streaming on Netflix, from May 1. The series takes place in the pre-independence period, and the series revolves around the lives of Nawabs, Tawis and British rulings in Haramandi. The series stars Monisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fardeen Khan, Adhyayan Suman, Sekhar Suman and many other prominent faces who add splendor to the cast. He was released on May 1.

After brutally murdering Rahana Appa (Sonakshi Sinha) and faking it as suicide, Malika (Munisha Koirala) takes over the shahi mahal and becomes the new khuzar as Malika Jaan. And 16 years later, rehanas daughter FAREDAN (again played by Sonakshi Sinha) comes to avenge her mother’s murder and starts re-investigating the closed case. Waheeda (Sanjeeda Sheikh), Rahana and Malika’s sister was all along the only witness to the brutal murder and hid evidence of murder alongside her for years.

The story also gets a romantic twist with Alamzeb, Malika’s daughter who falls in love with Tajdar (Taha Shah Badusha) the son of an esteemed Nawab and does not choose to be a Taweeef like other women in Hiramandi. This leads to dramatic family chaos resulting in Almazeb running away and starting to live her life with TAJDAR and later becoming pregnant with his child.

As a result of the clash between Paridhan and Malikjan, families and relationships fall prey to death and despair and Hiramandi begins to lose its charm and pleasure. The British officers torture the Indian revolutionaries and as a result Tajdar is killed by a British policeman on the day he is supposed to marry Almazab.

The Nawabs seem charmed by the beauty and elegance of these tawas and spend almost all their wealth on their debauchery.

The story reaches a sad climax when the pregnant Almazeb dressed as a bride hears of Tajdar’s death and finally accepts the identity of TAWAIF.

The story ends with Biboyan’s (Aditi Rao Hydari) young daughter Malika who is a patriot herself being arrested by the officer and tortured and executed. Meanwhile, Farida and Malikajan join hands to support and immunize the Indian rebellions.

The women of Heeramandi march with fire in their hands despite the curfew to stop the execution of BIBO. Unfortunately, Bibo is shot dead by the British officers leaving the story with a sad and disturbing ending.

The songs of this series are excellently composed and composed and give it a touch of Hindustani royalty and charm.

Only Sanjay Leela Bhansali can truly master such medieval glamor on screen.

The casting is excellent; However the director failed to emphasize the importance of each character as the storyline fails to prominently present each character.

Like what we usually expect from a grand finale and closure from the directors other previous works, Heeramandi falls short and fails to capture the story up to a certain point.
