Here, due to the scorching heat, the electricity company has canceled the maintenance work till May 28, but on Sunday, electricity blackout continued in several areas including Kolar, Ayodhya Bypass, Karond, Raisen Road, Hoshangabad Road.
A trend of severe heat in May

This year, the heat remained mild during the first two weeks, but from May 18 onwards it started to get extremely hot. The mercury reached 44.4 degrees on May 23 and 45.4 degrees on May 26. Maintenance work was carried out in 30 areas every day
Due to extreme heat and heat waves in Bhopal, the electricity company has postponed the routine maintenance work for the next 4 days. That means, there will be no maintenance work until May 28. Earlier, the power company was doing maintenance work in 30 major areas on an average every day. However, electricity hiding continues in the form of undeclared outages.
