ISLAMABAD: FBR plan to register shop owners under Tajir Dost scheme has failed.

According to the details, registration of shoppers in the Tajar Dost scheme of FBR is almost non-existent while today is the last day of registration in the Tajar Dost scheme.

According to sources, 105 traders had voluntarily registered by the end of last week, while the plan was to bring 3.1 lakh retailers online under the trader-friendly scheme.

The cities where traders are registered include Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Rawalpindi, Quetta and Islamabad.

According to FBR, this scheme will be applicable to small traders, shopkeepers, wholesalers and retailers, the minimum advance tax for traders and shopkeepers will be Rs 1200, and the first collection of monthly advance income tax will be from 15th July 2024.

Under the scheme, the collection will be on the 15th of every month after 15 July, a 25% discount will be given for paying tax in one sum for the whole year, while a 25% discount will also be given for submitting forms for the year 2023. .
