Farmers have been on strike near Mohana on the Green Expressway passing through Faridabad for about 221 days demanding a cut on the Green Expressway. Not broken yet. Manohar Lal Khattar, while he was CM, had announced a cut on the Green Expressway near Mohana. This expressway goes to Jewar Airport via Faridabad.

The protesting villagers claim that BJP candidate Krishna Pal Gurjar broke ground for his plow to move from Mohana to Fareda in Uttar Pradesh, because Krishna Pal Gurjar had bought his land there. For his own good he has had this cut there forcefully. Farmers have even met the Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to demand this cut, but they did not get the cut due to the moods and cons near Mohana.

Recently, a large mahapanchayat of farmers was held at Mohana Mandi during the Lok Sabha elections.
