Singaporean authorities have issued a recall order for Everest fish masala curry. This was done due to the amount of ethylene oxide exceeding the limit. Ethylene oxide is a pesticide.

Singapore imports this spice from India. The Singapore Food Agency (SFA) directed importer SP Muthiah & Sons to initiate the recall process. The products of the Indian company Everest are supplied to more than 80 countries.

2. OpenAI appointed its first employee in India: Pragya Mishra was appointed as the head of government relations at the company, earlier she was at Truecaller and Meta.

OpenAI, the company behind ChatGPIT, has appointed its first employee in India. The company appointed 39-year-old Pragya Mishra as its head of government relations. Pragya Mishra previously worked at Truecaller and Meta. She will start working at OpenAI at the end of the month.

Jio Financial Services Limited on Friday (April 19) released the results for Q4FY24 i.e. the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024. Jio Financial’s net profit for the January-March quarter rose 6% year-on-year to Rs 310 crore.

Jio Financial, the non-banking financial company (NBFC) of Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries, reported a net interest income (NII) of Rs 280 crore in the fourth quarter. Whereas the total interest income was 418 million rupees and the total income was 418 million rupees.

7. Wipro’s 4Q net profit down 8% to 2,835 crore: The company’s 4Q24 revenue was 22,208 crore, shares up 1.74%

IT company Wipro released its Q4FY24 i.e. the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024 results on Friday (April 19). Wipro’s net profit fell 8% year-on-year to Rs 2,835 crore in the January-March quarter.

In the corresponding quarter (Q4FY23) last year, the company’s net profit was ₹3,074 crore. While in the third quarter of 2014, i.e. in the third quarter, Wipro’s net profit stood at $2,700 million. This means that the company’s net profit increased by 5% in the fourth quarter compared to the third quarter.
