Big news has come out of the world of cricket. The first match of the T20 series between England and Pakistan was called off due to rain. This is an important series for both teams ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024. The first match was played at Headingley Leeds. The match was scheduled to start at 11:00 PM IST. But due to the heavy hitting of the rain, it was decided to cancel the game. The England Cricket Board gave information about this through social media. This T20 series will be a total of 4 matches for both the teams. Of which 3 games remain now.
This series is very important for Pakistan players. Because the performance in this series will be decisive for getting a place in the team for the T20 World Cup. Pakistan is yet to announce the squad for the T20 World Cup. Hence, in the remaining matches of this series against England, Pakistan players can be seen trying to perform strongly. Meanwhile, the second match between the two teams will be held in Birmingham on Saturday, May 25.
