The storm and the strong rain that came on Saturday night in Katras-Baghmara and the surrounding areas troubled people a lot. In some places tree branches were damaged and in other places electricity poles were damaged. Because of this, the life of ordinary people was greatly affected. Due to darkness and rain, the power supply of Ganeshpur electricity substation was completely disrupted since late Saturday night. Electricity supply started in some areas after Sunday afternoon. While due to trees falling in many places in Kandra feeder, electricity was disrupted for almost the entire day. People remained restless all day due to lack of electricity during the summer season. Here, the department’s workers were also busy doing repairs throughout the day to restore power. In the evening, there was a power cut for a few hours at the Baghmara feeder as well. In this matter, Junior Electrical Engineer Sonu Samad said that the electricity has been cut since 12 o’clock at night. Electricity was restored almost everywhere at 9 am. There was a lot of problem in restoring electricity because trees fell in places like Mahuda Mod, Telmachho, Kunji and Mahhiyara etc. Electricity is supplied smoothly since late at night. Up to the time of communication, the power supply has not been smoothly restored in these areas.
