Amid the Lok Sabha elections, the series of provocative statements by leaders of political parties continues. The Election Commission works continuously on such issues. Meanwhile, the Election Commission has given directions to BJP president JP Nadda and Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. The two leaders have been asked to instruct their star campaigners to be careful and maintain composure while making any statement.

These orders were given by the Election Commission in view of the decline in the level of the election system. The committee slammed the BJP as well as the Congress for campaigning on the basis of caste, community, language and religion. The committee directed the BJP that party leaders should not make religious and communal statements during their speeches. It is also said to avoid statements that divide society. The committee also emphasized that there is an additional responsibility on the ruling party during the elections.
“Congress leaders should not play politics on the defense forces”
The Election Commission asked the Congress leaders not to make baseless statements. Mainly orders were given not to make statements regarding the abrogation of the constitution and the end of Agnivar Yojana. Congress operatives and candidates have been given clear instructions not to politicize the defense forces. Apart from that, orders were given not to give partisan speeches regarding the social and economic structure of the defense forces.
