Dutch Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Minister Liege Schreinmacher on Thursday described India as a major geopolitical player for his country. He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s work in making India a major geopolitical player.

He said that there is a very good economic partnership between India and the Netherlands. Trade between the two countries is around 20 billion euros and this number may increase in the future.

Regarding the relations between the two countries, Schreinmacher said, India is a very important geopolitical player for us. This is why we really want to improve our relations with India. I believe we already have very good economic cooperation, as well as good maritime cooperation. That’s why I’m here. We have economic relations worth 20 billion euros. I believe we can increase that number.

When asked about the work of Indian Prime Minister Modi, Minister Holland said, you see that India is really becoming an important geopolitical player. I think it’s because of the way your prime minister works. He really put India on the map. In this sense, it can really be said that he has a big role.

Schreinmacher, emphasizing India’s role in the Indo-Pacific region, said that India is a major geopolitical and economic player for the Netherlands. According to him, it is important for us to really see India as a major geopolitical and economic player in the region. Schreinmacher expressed happiness about his visit to Mumbai. According to him, the Dutch air defense and command frigate HNLMS Tromp has left the Red Sea and is now in the Indo-Pacific region. He said, I am very happy to be here in Mumbai.
