A 7-year-old boy died due to drowning on Wednesday at Muhammadganj Panchayat in 12 Kathi Wing under Rajeshwari Police Station area in Supaul. The deceased is Jinandan Kumar, 7-year-old son of Manoj Chaupal, a resident of Ward 12, Kathi. According to the information, Jinandan went to bathe with his grandfather who went to wash the buffalo in the pond. In this sequence, the boy drowns after slipping into deep water. Ward 12 ward member Ranjit Kumar said that in the past he too used to go to the pool with his grandfather to bathe. As always, even today he bathed on the bank of the pool with less water. Grandfather along with some other people from the village left home after washing the buffalo. After going some distance, they did not see Jinandan with them when they reached Pokar, he was also not seen there. When they searched for him in the pool due to suspicion of drowning, his body was found buried in the mud of deep water. The police station was informed about the child’s drowning. After that, the police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem at Sdr Hospital. He said that the child is younger than one sister and one brother among three brothers and one sister. Rajeshwari Police Station Superintendent Santosh Kumar said that after receiving information In the case of the child’s death, after arriving at the scene, the body was sent for an autopsy.
