It has been revealed that drinking water is unsafe for parliamentarians as well, and drinking water in parliament and the lodges has been declared harmful to health.
The Pakistan Council for Research on Water Resources (PCRWR) sent a letter to the National Assembly Secretariat.
The document stated that according to the quarterly water testing report, the water of the Senedddy, cabins was found to be contaminated, water samples taken from water coolers, overhead tanks and taps were found to be unsafe.
The report said that the water in the tanks of 3 blocks in the Senedd Lodges could not be used, only the water from the main filter work in the Senedd Lodges was found to be safe.
PCRWR collected water samples from 6 locations including the Deputy Speaker’s room in the Senedd-dy, PCRWR collected water samples from 4 locations from the Senedd Lodges.
According to the report, out of 10 samples, one sample was found to be potable and 9 samples were found to be contaminated.
