Malai Mehta’s mother Malti Mehta was also arrested by Thane police from Nashik. Let us tell you that so far 11 people have died due to the boiler explosion. Meanwhile, 60 people were injured.
It is worth noting that the day before, the police filed a lawsuit against the owners and directors. The FIR names Malay Pradeep Mehta, Malti Pradeep Mehta and other directors, management staff and officials who supervised the factory.
According to the FIR, the officials did not take precautions in mixing and storing the chemicals, knowing that even a small mistake could lead to an explosion. The FIR was filed by Manpada police in Thane district around 1:50 am on Friday, almost 12 hours after the blast.

Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Legislative Council Ambads Danev said there is no industrial safety department here. Such a plant should not have been located near a residential area. This is the biggest crime. A technical person should have been there. An ordinary worker or laborer cannot handle the reactor. The management of this factory is responsible for the explosion. About 450 factories operate in the area. This is not the first incident, this is the fifth or sixth such accident in the industrial area since 2016.
