Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Tamil Nadu’s ruling party DMK released its manifesto (Kovai Rising) on ​​Tuesday. DMK says that if they win the Lok Sabha elections, the following announcements will be issued.
- will launch new flight services to major international cities including Dubai and Singapore.
- MEMU trains will be operated from Cubai.
- Will start through the Vilankurichi scheme.
- A dedicated corridor will be built between Chennai, Kubai and Thoothukudi.
- Broadband railway project will start from Mettupalayam-Sathyamangalam-Gobichettipalayam-Erode.
- The Coimbatore Metro Rail project will be expedited and the first phase will be completed on time.
DMK is a part of Indian Union
It is worth noting that DMK is part of the Indian opposition alliance. DMK contested Lok Sabha elections along with other parties including Congress and MNM. Recently, DMK president and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin sealed the deal in the presence of TNCC chief K Selvaperunthagai and AICC leaders KC Venugopal and Ajoy Kumar. However, DMK has given one seat to MNM for the assembly elections to be held next year. MNM contested alone in Lok Sabha Elections 2019 and Assembly Elections 2021 but had no impact. Apart from this, DMK allotted two Lok Sabha seats each to CPM, CPI and VCK. While DMK allotted one seat each to MDMK, KMDK and IUML.
