- EVM will be under the surveillance of 11 cameras in the strong room, the force personnel will keep an eye 24 hours.
After the elections, EVMs and VV-PAT were kept in the strong room constructed in Shankaracharya Vocational University. This building has been sealed off. EVMs will now remain under 24-hour surveillance by soldiers till the day of counting. Also, 11 closed-circuit cameras were installed in it to maintain a 24-hour clock. EVMs of Patan, Ahiwara, Durg City, Durg Rural, Vaishali Nagar and Bhilai Nagar are kept here. Similarly, EVMs of Saja, Bemetara and Navagarh assembly were kept in Bemetara district. The counting of votes will take place on June 4. Until the day of reckoning, the strong room will be kept under tight security surveillance by special forces. Not only this, EVMs of partial polling stations falling in Durg district of Bemetara have been sent to Bemetara. They will be counted there.
Voting was held on May 7 as part of the third phase at Lok Sabha Durg. voting
