Achi news desk-

luck: On the one hand, the Lok Sabha elections are in their final stages. On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh politics is becoming more exciting. Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiya, MLA from Pratapgarh district’s Makonda and head of Jansatta Dal (Democratic), which has a strong influence in UP politics, has taken his latest step and announced his support to the Samajwadi Party from the Mirzapur Lok Sabha seat. It is believed that this announcement by Raja Bhaiyya will not only hurt Bharatiya Janata Party in Mirzapur seat but it may suffer losses in many seats of Provenchal. The seats where BJP may suffer now include Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Mirzapur and Allahabad seats.

In fact, the last few days have seen NDA leader Raja Bhaiyya under attack, which includes union ministers Anupriya Patel and Ramdas Athwala. Anupriya Patel attacked Raja Bhaiyya while campaigning in Kaushambi and Pratapgarh. He said some people consider Kunda as their property and this is a golden opportunity to teach them a lesson. Last Wednesday, Ramdas Athwala justified Anupriya Patel’s statement and hit out at Raja Bhaiyya. In such a situation, there were speculations that the anti-Raja Bhaiyya rhetoric might prove costly for BJP and now the same has happened.

Let us tell you that a few weeks ago there was a meeting with Raja Bhaiyya and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Then there were speculations that BJP might get Raja Bhaiyya’s support. But a few days after the meeting, Raja Bhaiyya announced among his supporters that they should vote for the candidate according to their discretion. Getting Raja Bhaiyya’s support is no less than a big advantage for the Samajwadi Party. Because now in the 27 seats of UP where voting is pending, Kshatriya voters are dominant and Raja Bhaiyya is one of the big leaders of the Thakurs. Raja Bhaiyya’s party may not contest even one Lok Sabha seat. But he remains constant in the election debate and this makes us understand his power.
