Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and he will spend the remaining two-and-a-half years of their tenure playing the fast-paced T20 format. He spoke at a public meeting in Mumbai.
Chief Minister Shinde and I are in power now. We have two-and-a-half years in hand and we will play like a T20 cricket match. Now is not the time to play a Test match,” said Fadnavis. Shinde became chief minister in June this year, breaking the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena and toppling the Sena-NCP-Congress coalition government.
Meanwhile, Fadnavis said that some people are trying to spread fear that Mumbai will be separated from Maharashtra. “I make it clear that Mumbai will be an integral part of Maharashtra and all Marathi festivals will be celebrated without any restrictions,” the BJP leader said.
